Hamburger Cupcakes

Another cake post! Guess even the dogs on the plate like them! It was the birthday party of my twin 7-year-old nieces on this past Saturday. There were about 10 kids in the party so I decided to make these fun looking hamburger cupcakes. The buns were vanilla cake and the meat patty was dark chocolate cake. Of course, the ketchup, mustard and lettuce were red, yellow and green creamy vanilla frosting.

I also sprinkled sesame seeds on the top to make them look even more like the real hamburger. And it surely was a big hit in the party. Of course, there were some kids immediately scraping off the sesame seeds off the top. Guess not everybody like the sesame seeds. I got some big hugs from the kids to thank me for making the cupcakes for their party. It was a happy Saturday!

HUGS!

Thanks for the compliment! But I think that I am far away from being a professional baker or decorator. Too much work to do that. :)

Lucky kiddies! I want some for my birthday party!

The ones who scraped the seeds off were the ones whose families never eat anything but processed foods. They'll eat Quarter Pounders because they have no seeds, but not Big Macs because they not only have seeds, but also lettuce.

I will make a patch for your next birthday if you come to Milwaukee to pick it up, Joseph! :)

That is possibly the coolest thing I've seen all year.

How delightful - your nieces are lucky to have such an imaginative and talented uncle!
Ya' know, what I like best about your cake posts is that they're absolutely scrumptious ... I drool, but I don't gain a single ounce ! -LOL
BTW, is that a little dragon cake in your avatar pic - adorable !

Thanks! Yes, the avatar pic is the dragon cake I made for my nephew's 7-year-old birthday party 2 years ago.
